When this one ends :p the time the poll closes is - as always - displayed within the poll itself.

I agree with the general sentiment here that this is super close, the poll sort of makes it look like a landslide but both sides are really pretty great in this category.

Well, a process of elimination as regards which collections are yet to match up, and which categories are yet to be used in each league, will allow you to work these ones out ;)

Ughhh, my powers of deduction are waning at the moment, I suppose I'll just wait and see.

The last match in this group is massive, as RZSS and Bristol have qualified, but only Marwell are eliminated! Who wins and by how much determines which of the other 3 comes 3rd.

I believe your arithmetic is slightly out :p but either way there is still a lot to play for in both groups, given how the match structure goes from here.

Also I've slightly edited your post to reduce the risk of tactical voting by people reading what you've noticed!

That's fine, so you agree I am right on what you have left?
As I see it in the other group, Whitley, Cotswold and Dublin are already the top 3, I must have missed something?

Results of the next match in the other group will determine how and which scores are carried into the next stage, even if both collections are liable to progress anyhow :)

A tough 2-1 to ZSL here. After visiting both main sites recently London's collection definitely impressed me more, and that was with skipping B.U.G.S. due to time constraints. London just has more species that tickle my fancy, and even though Bristol's Reptile House is impressive and looks better than London it just doesn't have the same pull for me due to the species. London losing the aquarium was a bit of blow but there's still a nice aquatic selection at Whipsnade, whereas Wild Place have zero herp's that come immediately to mind.

Bristol get a point because it definitely deserves one, ZSL get two because I prefer the species line-up.

I would put Whitley up there with one or two of these too!

I think in terms of reptiles, yes, but would be significantly weaker in terms of amphibians IMO.

I have not checked ZTL and I have not visited Paignton or Newquay since July 2019, but both have dedicated amphibian areas as well as holding them in the Tropical Houses, I would guess 30 plus amphibian species, so definitely top 5

Both Paignton and Newquay have rather excellent amphibian collections - especially the former, which holds five Ranitomeya taxa (two the only holdings in a European public collection) and five Mantella taxa (one the only holding in a European public collection)

Awesome that they have a good poison dart frog and mantella collection, unfortunately their website really does need updating as the only amphibians mentioned are ones from South-East Asia.

Out of curiosity, what mantella frog species is it that they hold that is the only in Europe ?

As I've said repeatedly of late, very few zoos *anywhere* provide full lists of their species on their websites :p

And the taxon in question is Mantella pulchra.
