Max, the adult male Amur tiger, departed for Milwaukee today. Brookfield is going to get a "new" male tiger, Strannik, who previously resided at the Brookfield Zoo back in the mid 2000's I believe. I'm not sure when he is supposed to arrive.

An edit to my post above: Max is still at Brookfield and hasn't left for Milwaukee yet. Not sure when he is leaving.

Also, the zoo's elderly tree shrew has passed away, and the exhibit is currently empty. I posted a picture of the sign in the Brookfield Zoo gallery.

I'm surprised that they still have not announced the new dolphin. I wonder if something has happened.

Maybe they're worried about bad press that they might get given the current political climate? That's my thought.

Brookfield usually doesn't announce their newest arrivals right away, and sometimes not at all, but I would have thought they would announce Birdie's arrival by now.
