I was reading through the most commented photos on Brookfield in the gallery here and you wouldn't guess that anyone liked this zoo much at all; really sad to see decade old comments talking about incoming improvements almost none of which ever arrived. It also feels so hard to believe Wild Encounters is a few years old now and Great Bear Wilderness several!
It is really hard to believe that Great Bear Wilderness is nearly a decade old. It feels like yesterday when I was following its construction and checking it out during the member preview.
I may have just not noticed this exhibit before, but there seems to be a new hornet exhibit on the right of the basilisk/stingray tank. I couldn’t find any hornets but there were a few dead cockroaches.
Went over the weekend and noticed that Baboon Island is finally being torn out. Have no idea what is going in its' place and can't find anything online...
Oh, you can find photos in the Media section - I'm new to this and have been trying to figure out what's going up all day - ha.
Welcome to the site, always nice to see some new members. Yes, the media section is where all of our photos are stored and if you check out the categories bar on the left you can find specific zoos you may be looking for. If you have any additional questions, about the zoo or the site itself, feel free to ask.

Only record cold for you Chicagoians! In northern Wisconsin it gets this cold all the time, and we like it. Actually, it only gets like this every few years. And I don't think anyone likes it (with the possible exception of the White Witch. I think she may have moved in. Oh well. No more Turkish delight.)
