The addax have moved from their former enclosure in Habitat Africa! The Savannah and a new species will be replacing them.

Signs with quotes are currently covered over all of the glass viewing areas in the black-crested mangabey exhibit.

What’s gonna go in the old river hog space & where did the addax go? I know there’s only 2 addax-how many hogs went to habitat Africa! Savannah-last time I checked there were 5 hogs-the 2 youngsters Hamilton & Eliza from 2016, the parents Charlotte & little b, & Charlotte’s sister Geraldine. For a while-the girls were in the exhibit space & the 2 boys were behind them in an off exhibit yard

Whoop-de-'do. They fit so much better in the Forest exhibit, particularly in a purpose-built yard. I miss when waterbucks were there. Maybe lesser kudu and Speke's gazelle could be a better replacement?

Two new young female African painted dogs from The Wilds, Selous (Sah-loo) and Ngala (N-Gah-la), are now on exhibit with 10-year-old Chewbacca. We'll see if he'll end up being able to father any pups since he is up there in age.

The Giant Anteater and pup have been moved to an outdoor exhibit between the old elephant (current rhino) exhibit and the east-most Pygmy hippo exhibit (Anteater exhibit is to the right of the closed Pachyderm house entrance).
