The same well-known ZooChatter again placed some very intresting pictures on his Facebook-page, all made during his trip to Japan.
At the Tokyo Sea Life Park he saw and photographed the following species :
    - Chaetodon argentatus - Silver butterflyfish. a species for which I had sofar no captive-information and there still are no pictures of this species in our Gallery.
    - Chaetodon miliaris - Millet butterflyfish,
some captive-information but sofar only a single photo in the Gallery
    - Chaetodon nippon - Japanese butterflyfish, a species for which I also didn't have any captive information and which is also still not represented in the Gallery.
Hopefully this befriended ZooChatter can find the time to up-load some of his photos in our Gallery so all ZooChatters can enjoy the beauty of these fishes ;) !

I saw the Chevron Butterflyfish (A fish rarley kept in aquaria) at the Moskavarium last year. At the time I didn't realize it was listed as vulnurable on the IUCN Red List, if I had I would have taken a photo.

IUCN doesn't list any Butterflyfish as Vulnerable - the closest is Near Threatened; the rest are either Least Concern or Data Deficient.

    :p

I should have said that, usually I forget about to use the lesser known or used classifictions from IUCN.

The well-known Zoo-Chatter which visit Japan a few months ago again placed some very nice photos on this Facebook-page, 4 of them being Butterflyfishes of the genus Chaetodon. He made these pictures at the Sunshine Aquarium in Japan:
    - Chaetodon decussatus - Blackened butterflyfish
    - Chaetodon trifascialis - Chevron butterflyfish
    - Chaetodon baronessa - Eastern triangle butterflyf( making Sunshine Aquarium the first public Aquarium I know of keeping this species )
    - Chaetodon mesoleucos - White-face butterflyfish, a species from which we still don't have pictures at our Gallery so hopefully our well-known Zoo-Chatter will up-load a photo of this species ( and maybe also from the others because they are worth to be seen :) in the Gallery !

    ALSO
Chaetodon argentatus (Black Pearlscale Butterflyfish) is seen at Shedd Aquarium in Wild Reef. I'll try to upload a photo if I see it there on December 27th. But as they are a rather small fish it would be hard to search for them

Even if I can’t find it I’ll be sure to post a picture of its signage which should provide evidence that it’s there. Also I’ll be on the lookout for the lined butterflyfish which is also there.

After ( more then ) a week without ( or alsmost without ) internet-connection, I started to check the photo-gallery and found some pictures of Chaetodons - several of then already mentioned above.
Devilfish posted a picture of a Teardrop butterflyfish ( Chaetodon unimaculatus ) made at the Kamogawa Sea World, this being the first photo at the Gallery made at a zoo.( see Teardrop butterflyfish, October 2017 | ZooChat )
Moorish uploaded a photo of the sign of the Lined butterflyfish ( Chaetodon lineolatus ) made at the Shedd Aquarium ( see Digital Sigange example | ZooChat ).

I too have a photo of a Philippine Butterflyfish, taken at Shedd Aquarium. There is a Sixbar angelfish in the photo as well.
