Moose in the 1960s Hi folks, I'm writing about a moose that came from the Calgary Zoo in 1971 to Northwest Trek, a then-new wildlife park near Mount Rainier. Dubbed "Chocolate," he became quite celebrated, and is remembered in a lifesize bronze statue. Do any of you Zoo Chatters know people who were keepers, volunteers, or frequent visitors to the Calgary Zoo during the 1960s? I can't hope for information about this specific moose, but sorely need to know in general what a Calgary Zoo moose would have experienced by way of confinement, food, and so forth. Any information or leads will be gratefully received. Many thanks
