Is this number of species, or number of individual animals?

Surely this would differ on a daily basis, both species and animal numbers? So an exact amount could never be given for any collection!

ISIS will be your best bet. Although even that will only give rough estimates, depending upon when collections have updated them about births/deaths/transfers

I think you would be best to look at their websites,ISIS etc and maybe some might have annual animal inventories in their annual reports which may be available online. You might have to do a bit of research.

You could try contacting BIAZA they may be able to help for collections that are members.
