Was going to post this in a 'Other Collections' sub thread such was the small size of the collection, but could not locate it.N So o decided to simply plonk it here.

Hi folks.I paid a short visit to Capel Manor Gardens and the associated Capel Manor College's small collection of animals, near Waltham Cross/Turkey Street,Northeast London. Neatly and uniformly laid out next to its more notable,award-winning,pretty horticultural collection of gardens and garden designs. Italics represent animals I could not see/tucked up in bed?

Kind of liked the idea of setting the three or four reptile terrarium rooms behind the windows, set into the outer wall of the Princess of something? educational student building. These housed African Dwarf Crocs,Green Iguana,Red-footed Tortoise and Red-eared Sliders.

There were enclosures for Scottish Wildcat,Patagonian Mara,African Crested Porcupine, ubiquitous Meerkats and Bennett's Wallabies,Common Marmoset, and Ring-tailed Lemurs.Paddocks for Sheep,Huayca Alpaca. Aviaries for Sulphur Crested Cockatiel,a pair of Carrion Crows (one albino & without tail feathers),Australian Rock Parrots (Rock Pebblers as they were labeled),Eastern Rosella, and Barn Owl.

A good place to spend a short time if a visitors other intention was to visit the beautiful specialist show gardens.
