There are quite a few inventories and databases that keep track of individual captive animals of a certain species within zoological facilities, such as Cetabase for example. However, I have still not been able to find one for sea lions or Pinnipeds in general. Does anyone know if such a database exists for this species?
I know there’s one for walruses: Walrus Network But not aware of one for sea lions or any other pinnipeds unfortunately.
I’m mostly trying to find information on the individual California sea lions that the Berlin Zoo currently has.
Not helpful to figure out the sea lions in Berlin, but two resources to check out: The AZA studbook The APHIS Search Tool (^this allows you to see inspection reports from any USDA-certified facility)
