Does your local zoo feed large carnivores carcasses? Additional - if so, is carcass feeding visible to the public?
Chester Zoo does a whole Carcass feed for it African Hunting Dogs, and yes the public can always view the feed.
I really dont have a problem at all with carcass feeding. It's good enrichment for the animals and that's what they eat! (I don't think yourre condemning by the way just saying my view).
Woburn feed carcasses to the lions, when we went it was a 'road kill deer' that happened to have hooves and a mane!
