Interesting that you ask! Construction was well under way during our visit this past June one would think it should have been done by now ?

Two Cougar cubs orphaned in Montana have found a new home at the zoo. They will go on exhibit on May 4th.

I just took my Mom to the Chattanooga Zoo. Worst Zoo ever. Just my opinion. When you pull into the parking lot, the first thing you see is HUGE softball fields and then the that fancy new entrance to the zoo. Then you go in and see all the pathetic enclosures for the animals and you wonder why the zoo doesn't utilize those softball fields that is their property. It's really sad. The jaguar exhibit is a joke.

Does anyone know how the desert and forest buildings turned out? I have searched for information about them and have come up with extremely little. I feel like these buildings would have to be an improvement over their previous reptile house.

I've been going to the Chattanooga Zoo for a few years now (I live in Northeast Alabama so it technically the closest AZA zoo to my home) and I've often thought to myself it is a good candidate for a giraffe exhibit, and without even having to look at an article I know the space they likely are going to put it.

The Zoo has started a campaign called "Reaching Great Heights," which will bring not only giraffes to Chattanooga, but lions and other small animals as well.
