Oh also I'm not sure this has been mentioned before, as it is from last year but I don't believe it has been brought up. Chester holds Chameleon forest lizards, which where talked about on their facebook page with the annual stock take. How long have they been at the zoo for as it states they are a new addition?

They arrived in 2014, so hardly new additions.

I couldn't say if it was Diego, but one of the Giant Otters caught a duck today and wasn't happy to share :D

Yeah it'd be nice to have an update from the zoo as to how work is progressing on the new islands phase.

The False tomato frogs in Tropical Realm have been replaced by at least 3 Chinese gliding frog (Rhacophorus dennysi).

Apologies if already discussed on the board, I missed it if so, but it was a very pleasant surprise to see a young Philippine Mouse Deer today with her parents. Adorable!

I`m visiting tomorrow for the 1st time in over 6 years (taking my dad who has never been). Obviously a lot has changed since then but is there certain times to see certain species ? I`m aware jaguars are difficult to see but any specific times for other species or just feeding times ?

Have at look at the website you're often to see animals during the animal talks so if you look and see what talks are on that day.Hope that helps!

Just returned from Chester zoo, what a fantastic day out!!!
*Saw both elephant calves tearing round which was great, Nandita ended up joining in. spoke to keepers who said they are now doing daily blood tests to try to catch any EEHV strains to treat it asap.
    * Saw Ema Elsa & Gabe whilst at Rhino talk where when asked about future births, Kitani has been seen mating & things are looking positive
*Saw both Okapis playing around inside
    * Giraffe calf Murchison is looking well and all previous calves look well although no keepers around to ask if any are to be moved on
    *Saw a Sun Bear
*Saw both Napo & Goshi outside Goshi was sinking into cow`s leg, Napo was watching from the den. Think it was Sofia inside but blink & she was gone
    *3 tapirs fast asleep
*Got a great view of African Wild Dogs & Komodo Dragon (although the latter had to be pointed out to me)
    *Bornean Orangutans were enjoying themselves
    * Saw a stunning black & yellow snake but can`t for the life of me remember what species :(

    Think that`s everything

If it was in Realm of the Red Ape, you saw Boelen's Python.
