Which area of the zoo, e.g. which existing animal exhibits, will 'Grasslands' replace, any ideas?

I don't think any plans have been published yet, but I understand that it will mostly be in the undeveloped area beside the main A41. This is from the right of the entrance roundabouts to the end of the banteng paddock in Islands; behind the hunting dogs, the end of the sitatunga paddock and the warty pig enclosure in Islands.

I popped in for a couple of hours this afternoon and saw both Muntjac - surprisingly, they were showing very well and were active at the front of the enclosure (unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me).

Someone has posted a baby tapir on Chester's facebook. Any news of a recent birth?

Assume Malayan as I think the others are now in a non breeding situation due to the lose of either the breeding male or female.

I thought they both looked the same when young? Is there a female Brazilian at the zoo?

Next week's 'Secret Life of the Zoo' centres around breeding attempts between the Malayans so I believe the photo could be the result of that...

The photo was taken last week according to the poster on facebook, so there must be a little Malayan Tapir at Chester again!

The photos doing the rounds on social media are definitely of a Brazilian calf

Are the Azara’s Agouti still going to be put in the jaguar house? Seems to have been in line for years now and never happened

The agoutis have been in the oudoor sloth enclosure for a while now and bred this summer, but I don't know if they have been (or will be) moved indoors in the cold weather.

I believe it was in the original plan for the sloth enclosure, but the idea was abandoned soon after the enclosure opened (presumably it was felt that it was too noisy for the Agouti).
