Wow, it's taken a while for the Chester news thread to pop-up this year! Thanks, Matt :p

Yes usually a few pages in now already by this time of year, it would have been filled. With updates on the Grassland building progress

After digging into this, I believe Chester are now at 1.3.

I received the news that Mark Pilgrim leaved the zoo and has been replaced by Jamie Christon (as the new CEO).
    Anyone could confirm ?

Surely this would be the place for such information and without going through 47 pages I can’t see anything in the UK zoos and lockdown thread so no wonder it was missed. Even a search on Mark Pilgrim doesn’t bring anything up.

I can't see any mention of Jamie Christon being CEO either. He was on TV just the other week under title of Chief Operating Officer, which he has been for a few years judging by the search results.

Are CEO and COO not the same then?
I know less of Chester's structure than many (most?) on here....
Could this be at the bottom of Antoine's information?

Mark Pilgrim still has his job role as CEO on his linked in account, so I assume they are different roles

I've just had it confirmed by my contacts at Chester, both in senior management and keeper level, that Mark Pilgrime has left the zoo and been immediately replaced by Jamie Christon as chief executive.

Apparently its part of a big shake up in the senior management. I did always think it was strange that jamie was always in the media and not Mark.

I always thought the COO reported into the CEO and was the second in command that essentially is there to make the CEO's vision a reality.
