In Night Hunters, still no animals in the pocket exhibits. Armadillos moved to the potto habitat, fennecs now take up both of those last exhibits. So no pottos.

There's a small exhibit going in between Cat Canyon and Rhino Reserve. I thought it was just going to be another entrance. It appears it may be an aviary, or to obviously fit the theme, a small cat enclosure. You be the judge when I post a photo of it.

The mesh in the first aviary in Jungle Trails was removed. Can't tell if the folded up pile of mesh next to it was the removed ones or if they're a new.

With the sign and even the trees removed, I think the Reptile House Cockatoo island may be no more.

There is an Inca Tern in the south america exhibit in WotW. No sign of the Victoria crowned pigeons in Australasia.

So turns out that aviary in or I guess you could say slightly outside of Cat Canyon will be for a pair of Eurasian eagle owls.

I wish the space would've went to a small cat species

The mesh in Jungle Trails is being replaced, the Crowned Pigeons usually go in that habitat

This is the pair that has previously been on exhibit in Night Hunters. This habitat will allow them to be on display once again.

I don't know why I feel this way, I don't know if others feel the same, but I think Night Hunters should get a renovation...

It kind of shocks me how they built a new and improved, completely overhauled building but still managed to have less than mediocre exhibits...

By maintaining the Cat House infrastructure. (Maybe they could redo the old Sonora Desert mural in the Aardwolf exhibit, build a new nocturnal facility somewhere else and build a new Reptile House? With the old one becoming a gift shop.)

All they really did to change it from the cat house was some paint, new flooring, taking down some walls and turning the lights out

Really? That's anticlimatic AND disappointing. What's the point of a ...nevermind. Well, see I wouldn't know this because I never visited the zoo until 2015, though I only live an hour away.

The point is the difference between spending $750,000 and closing the building for a year or $4,000,000 (for example) and closing it for three.
The effort was more about energy efficiency and sustainability than visitor (or animal) experience)
