Interview with a conservationist working with the Philippine cockatoo : Meet The Filipino Wildlife Conservationist Who Is Saving A Fast Vanishing Cockatoo
2 Philippine cockatoos relased on Rasa Island on Nov. 7.. Both were rehab-birds which were saved by the Katala facility in Narra and after having a positive health-check, placed in a soft-release aviary on Rasa Island. After 2 months the doors were opened and one of the birds found contact with some wild cockatoos living near the release-site. The other bird still hangs around the release-aviary but it's hoped that this bird also will find it's way into the wild .
