Some updates from my visit today. -golden headed lion tamarins either replaced or are rotated with emperor tamarins - all of the middle tanks are removed & the smaller indoor sea lion indoor exhibit has been renovated to make a new indoor sea lion exhibit & new puffin exhibit -new unknown species of tortoise added to tropical encounters -circular tank from aquatics building now in tropical encounters - new terrarium for dyeing poison dart frog & green and black poison dart frog. -wolf woods, large cat house, giraffe house, and zebra house are all closed -Galapagos tortoises are now mixed with the waterfowl in the main pond. -como harbor is almost complete, only some rockwork & more plants need to be added for it to be completed. The restaurant has already opened That’s all I have to report on now. I will be posting photos from my visit later.
Updates from my visit today. .the golden headed lion tamarins are now mixed with the white faced sakis .The giraffe house has re-opened .there are now exhibits for African bullfrogs, pancake tortoises/girdle-tailed lizards, & mellers chameleon .the harbor seals have returned and are in the smaller indoor pinniped exhibit now called the “quarantine exhibit” .i took another look at the renovation plans for the aquatics building and it shows 5 new aquarium tanks & a renovated seal/sea lion exhibit .como harbor is almost complete, the only things left are the glass & the water. .there is a new terrarium for a emerald tree boa in tropical encounters .& i FINALLY have a species list for the birds in tropical encounters. I have some photos from my visit I will post in the gallery.
The pancake tortoises & the girdle tailed lizard are in the giraffe building & the mellers chameleon & African bullfrog are in the zebra building.
