when i go to chester zoo i love seeing the buffalo in their house and on their yard, but it's way too small for nearly ten of them and 1 full grown bull. What anoy's me is they've got a perfectly good empty paddock just next door with info plaques about buffalo on the fence, first i thought it was an un-safe paddock or it was slippery for the cattle, but then i see the keepers opening the door and they all rush out. I think the giraffe team are just being lazy, but they've got one heck of a work load mind, what do u think. :)

What are you on about? They have the nice big green paddock to run around in and even if they have access to it you will see them still in the yard or house.

Well if your going to go along those lines, then the Rhino house is too small when there locked in or the Giraffe house is too small when their locked in!

I could go on and on with examples.......

Think you need to learn to count the zoo only has 6 Congo Buffalos at the moment at one time they did have double that number in the enclosure but not for along while.

i'm a welsh dairy farmer and i know that cattle sleep at night and so do all other animals, that yard is way too small and on a lucky day the giraffe team let the gate open

The paddock they have is quite large and most hoofstock need a hardstanding area. I'm guesing you've based this on a couple of visits when they were on the hardstanding?

Oh and delete that comment about the keepers being lazy. That is just slander!

What on earth is up with this site lately?

The plan a few years ago was to thin the herd out and move them over to west zoo. I've heard nothing more about it since.
