Is there any sort of punishment/consequence for inbreeding? I’ve been playing in sandbox mode since I played for the first time a week ago, and have become rather obsessed with breeding gold medal animals. When the best male Springbok the market could offer me was a lowly bronze; I allowed the young gold female at my zoo to breed with her gold father and they’ve since had apparently healthy golden offspring.

The inbred offspring will be genetically inferior, with reduced fertility, immunity, and lifespan, not to mention putting them on the market or releasing them into the wild hurts your Zoo.
