Yesterday a Southern white rhino male was born at Copenhagen .
Short video of the new white rhino-caf :
A tiger that has arrived three weeks ago has killed a female that it was supposed to mate with:http://cphpost.dk/news/local-news/cph-zoo-tragedy-new-male-tiger-kills-female.html
Okapi born at the zoo at the weekend.
Does anyone know the name of the okapi born in 2016 in Copenhagen?
A post on a zoo-related Facebook page alerted me to this clip now circulating of a recent event at Copenhagen Zoo. Some ***** apparently somehow made his way into the elephant enclosure and approached the elephant herd.
ViralHog, poster of the video, described the occurence as follows:
""A man jumped into the elephant enclosure at the Copenhagen Zoo and approached the elephants, causing them to adopt an aggressive stance to protect the young elephant. After aggressively stamping at the intruder, the man approaches them once more, causing them to become angry before he retreats out of the enclosure, followed closely by the large, now angry animals, making sure that he leaves their territory. The man then fled the scene.""
Seriously, what a *****. He's lucky he got out just in time, or didn't try this idiotic stunt with a bull elephant. He could have been rendered flat as a pancake doing this. And if that had happened the zoo would have gotten all the blame...
This idiot really deserves some jail time - or perhaps some time in a psych ward.
