Australasia’s last bobcat has died as mentioned on Hamilton Zoo’s forum page.
That's a big oof right there. Bobcats are cool lads.
The Sitatunga is also gone at Hamilton Zoo.
That's sad too - like the Bobcat, the last one in Australasia!
When did she die?
Sometime last month, I believe.
As noted in the Wellington Zoo news thread, the male Sun Bear (Sean) at Wellington Zoo has been euthanised due to health reasons. The sole Sun Bear left in the country is now his daughter Sasa.

Auckland Zoo is now the only holder of Hamadryas baboon in New Zealand after Wellington Zoo euthanised their four remaining males on Friday:

Willowbank (in Christchurch) received four male Capybara last week, which had been bred at Auckland Zoo.
New Zealand no longer has tapir.
Hamilton Zoo’s elderly female has passed away.

Hamilton Zoo now has a female Cape Porcupine on display. Her name is Ingozi (Born May 2017). I'm assuming she's from Monarto unless they've (quietly) done a fresh import from Europe/USA.
Hamilton are also receiving 4.0 Nyala from Auckland today
Might be one of the females from Wellington.
Brooklands Zoo now have Capybara. They received 2.0 (named Luis Suarez and Fernando) from Auckland Zoo:
