A wonderful look at the Detroit Zoo 50 years ago. Local weatherman Sonny Eliot narrates and rock group Pendragon provides the very 70s score. Highlighted exhibits include the Penguinarium, Bear Grottos, Ape House, and the Holden Museum of Living Reptiles building. Also showcased are the Belle Isle Aquarium and the now defunct Belle Isle Children's Zoo.
