I visited Cebu City in the Philippines with the specific intention of visiting the zoo. I was then disappointed to learn that the place had only recently been closed down and some of the animals moved elsewhere. Some of these had gone to the D'Family Park Zoo which likes to call itself a rescue centre. Since my visit the Cebu City Zoo has been reborn and more animals have been brought in along with a change in the management structure.
