    Hello Guys i have never been to AMNH but you can visit it for Free in Google Maps and i have Seen Every Major Diorama so i thought about making a detailled Diorama Review. So i think its time to Start.


    Irma and Paul Milstein Family Hall of Ocean Life


    Northern Sea Lion

    Species: Northern Sea Lion


    What can be Seen:

    On a rocky shore is a big Male sea lion the master of the Bach. He is taking a Look at Every female and If there is a rival which wants to fight him He will fight back.

    Diving Birds

    There are no pictures of this diorama on the Zoo Chat
    Gallery

    Location: unknown, maybee north pacific

    Species: Loon, Puffin, Razorbill, unidentified fish

    What can be seen:

    In the rich waters of the north gather many fish species.
    There are many sea birds too. Some Loons and Puffins and a Razorbill dive for fish in presence of the now extinct Giant Auk.

    Harbour Seal

    On a shore two harbour seals take a nap. But if a predator would attack them they would be faster in the water than the carnivore could grab them.

    Dolphin and Tuna

    Species: flying Fish, yellow finned Tuna, Gannet, common Dolphin


    What can be Seen:

    In the vast Open ocean food is rare, but when there is food there are many hungry Predators. A small group of flying Fish was attacked both from above and beyond the waves by Tuna, Gannets and a pod of common Dolphin.

    A sea Otter taking a nap on the surface of an underwater kelp Forest.

    Tiger Shark

    What can be Seen:

    In the shallow tropical lagoons a sea turtle dives for her Life, as two very hungry Tiger sharks hunt her.

    I have decided to do Three Dioramas in one Post so Here we Go.

    Sperm Whale and Giant Squid

    There are no Pictures of this Diorama on the Zoo Chat Gallery

    Species: Giant Squid, Sperm Whale

    What can be Seen:

    Deep below the surface a Sperm Whale attacks a massive Giant Squid.







    Above the surface and Coral Reef

    There are no Pictures of this Diorama on the Zoo Chat Gallery

    Location: Bahamas

    Species: unidentified corals and fish, crab eating heron

    What can be Seen:

    On the surface a crab eating heron can be Seen eating a fish, above him flies a Flock of caribbean flamingos. Below the surface many different species of colourfull fish hide between the corals.









    Diving for Pearls

    Location: unknown maybee somewhere in south east Asia?

    Species: unidentified corals and fish, unidentified octopus

    What can be Seen:


    Two Pearl divers Diving for Pearls while being watched by many colourfull fish and a huge octopus.

    Polar Bear

    Species: Ribboned Seal, Polar Bear

    What can be Seen:

    In the frozen north of the Arctic a Polar Bear has finaly caught a Ribboned Seal.









    Sargasso Sea

    There are no Pictures of this Diorama on the Zoo Chat Gallery

    Location: Sargasso Sea

    Species: Portugese Man O War, unidentified fish, Mahi Mahi, Sea Turtle

    What can be Seen:

    On the surface of the sargasso Sea floates a Portugese Man O War, below the jellyfish some smaller fish hide between the Algae because a group of hungry Mahi Mahi fish has found them. And a big sea Turtle looks for a tasty jellyfish Snack.








    Walrus

    Species: unidentified sea Bird, Walrus

    What can be Seen:

    A walrus group sleeps on the Frozen Arctic sea, over them a Flock of sea birds want to capture some fish.

    What can be Seen:

    On a seagrass meadow a lonesome manatee looks for tasty sea grass.












    Northern Elephant Seal

    What can be Seen:

    Two Male Elephant Seals are roaring at each other to Fight for a female.


    This are all the Dioramas in the Irma and Paul Milstein Family Hall of Ocean Life. Next time we Encounter some of North Americas Most breathtaking birds.

    Leonard C. Sanford Hall of North American Birds

    Note: Eastern Upland Gamebirds, Booming Grounds and Western Gamebirds Dioramas are Blocked of on Google Maps and i couldnt find any Pictures online so i have to left These Three Dioramas Out of my Review. Sorry



    Marsh Ducks in Spring

    Species: Green Winged Teal, Gadwall, Fulvous Whistling Duck, Hooded Merganser, Baldpate, Mallard, Northern Shoveler, American Black Duck,
    Cinnamon Teal, Yellowthroat


    What can be Seen:

    Some birds Like the Merganser, Mallard and Shoveler can be seen on the ground while other birds Like the Whistling Duck can be Seen in the air.






    Snow Goose

    There are no Pictures of this Diorama on the Zoo Chat Gallery

    Location: Cap Tourmente Quebec

    Species: Snow Goose

    What can be Seen:

    Some snow Goose gather on the ground and one Takes to the Air.







    Sea Ducks in Winter

    There are no Pictures of this Diorama on the Zoo Chat Gallery

    Location: unknown

    Species: Ring necked Duck, Stellers Eider, Bufflehead, Long Tailed Duck, Canvasback, Harlequin Duck, Redhead, Common Goldeneye, Red breasted Merganser, Common Merganser, King Eider

    What can be Seen:

    On a Rocky Shore some sea Ducks gather near the ocean. One Duck enjoys the water, some other Ducks and mergansers sit on the Rocks and a Long Tailed Duck can be Seen in the Air.

    Common Loon

    Location: Umbagog Lake New Hampshire

    Species: unidentified passerine Bird maybee blackcap, Common Loon

    What can be Seen:

    A pair of Common Loons rests on the Shores of umbagog Lake. The female sits on the nest. Inside the Nest you can even find a Loon Egg.
    On the Tree in the Diorama sits a small Bird.








    Desert Birds

    There are no Pictures of this Diorama on the Zoo Chat Gallery

    Location: unknown maybee somewhere in Arizona?

    Species: Gambels Quail, Lesser Nighthawk, Verdin, Curve Billed Thrasher, Gnatcatcher, Pyrrhuloxia, Cactuswren, Greater Roadrunner, Northern Cardinal, Black throated Sparrow, Scaled Quail, Mourning Dove




    What can be Seen:

    Between the desert plants, quails, doves and a Roadrunner are searching for shade. A northern Cardinal flaps its Wings and on a cactus there is even a birds nest.












    Canada Goose

    Location: Crane Lake Saskatchewan

    Species: Canada Goose

    What can be Seen:

    A Family of canada Goose including 7 little gooslings are looking for food.

    One small, but important diorama, is the exhibit featuring the now extinct Labrador duck.

    And in the Hall of African mammals, Hunters Hartebeest and mountain nyala.

    I'v e been to that museum- the dioramas are indeed breathtaking.
