    Plans are underway in Central Australia to save the endangered red cabbage palm. Growing in small numbers in the Finke Gorge National Park, south of Alice Springs, it is said that the amount of juvenile palms is declining. Director of the Arid Lands Environment Centre, Jimmy Cocking, said he wants to maintain the current quantity of the lanky palm and that they have a special place in history. Read more.
