Apologies if someone posted this link previously. This is a really nice half hour documentary that appears to have been professionally produced for public television. It focuses on two zoos: Leipzig (Germany) and Goldau (Swizterland), which are used as examples of good zoos to launch a broader discussion on the purpose of zoos in the 21st century. Throughout they interview a zoologist who has been to many zoos and he provides some very good insight, mostly positive but also a couple that are critical (chimpanzees are mishandled by zoos everywhere for example).
