It has been more than two months that new Gallery request couldn't get any reply.

 So would it be possible that another administrator help him temporarily?

Jobalba used to post all new gallery requests within one or two days. This is highly unusual.

I had read on another thread that there was some kind of issue with the site where they (administrators) could not add new threads. Can an administrator confirm what is going on?

there are only two administrators, Sim and jobalba. The rest of us are moderators and we cannot add galleries.

I don't know what the reason for the hold-ups is but don't fret about it. It will be worked out.

Jobalba is the only ZooChat Administrator unfortunately, and the only other person with permission to add galleries is Sim.

Moderators do not have the permission to add galleries.

I will see if I can get hold of Sim and find out why this is taking so long. :)

There is a technical issues with adding galleries at the moment, so Job hasn't been able to do any of this.

She is waiting for me to fix it so she can process the backlog of requests.

Due to an unexpected change in circumstances, I started a new business back in June and have been working around the clock since then to try and generate enough revenue to pay the bills.

Unfortunately, I haven't had time to work out what the problem with the galleries is.

On the positive side, my new business is a website which uses new forum software XenForo, so I've been learning a lot about the capabilities of the software and how it might be used on ZooChat.

Feedback from everyone using the new software has been excellent, so once I can work out how to make the photo galleries work well in the new system I will be looking to migrate ZooChat.

I don't know how long it will take me to get to this point - I'm hoping I can allocate a week or two over Christmas/New Year when business is a bit slower and get everything done then.

Until then, I beg your forgiveness and ask for a bit more patience until I can get everything fixed. I'll try and get the galleries operational again before Christmas.

Not yet, sorry - still working around the clock on my new business. Cashflow is tight right now, so I need to keep focussing on building the business until I can afford to spend the time on getting ZooChat back up to full speed.

In the meantime, I've been thinking about how I might be able to do a migration to new forum and gallery software with minimal effort.

Moving the forums is fairly trivial, but the way I've tied the galleries to the forums will be more problematic - I can't just import the galleries because we would lose the associated discussions.

I'll have to think about this some more.

I will try and find some time later this week to at least look at the gallery issue and see if I can get that sorted so we can continue adding new galleries on the existing site for a while.

Thanks for your patience - I know it's frustrating.
