Dont think it was reported anywhere else. Dublin zoo have recently got some Mauremys annamensis, Annam leaf turtles. they are officially extinct in the wild! Dublin have a nice reptile collection and one of the nicest reptile houses I have ever seen. However most of their animals are fairly common so it is nice to see them moving into more endangered species.

I take it that they are from Chester? I know they hatched a number last year and have already sent some to Bristol Zoo.

If anyone can help me, I'm putting together a database with statistics of some of the world's top zoos. Essentially, I need the annual attendance figure for the Dublin Zoo:

    Can anyone help me?

Great! I'll use 900,000 -- but if you ever come across the official figure, let me know. Thanks.

Does anybody know when the elephantbull is comming to Dublin? And the plan was that Hussein from Hamburg zoo would become the new breeding bull. Is that still the plan or has it changed?

kesho has been seprated from the rest group for over a month,he has had contact with one female mayani,so he will be better adjusted when he reaches London zoo to been away from his troop...
