I've spoken to other zoochatters and we've noticed that there are a few people with duplicate accounts on here.* It really sucks that people do it as most only do it to try and prove their point. What's the zoochat policy on duplicate accounts? Also, it can be problematic when it comes to banning someone. So I know that it is not allowed at other forums, how is the policy here?!
I would think that someone having more than one account is out to cause mischief, eg Sebbe who has had several accounts and is probably still on here. However suspicions and proof are separate things. Perhaps contact Sim directly with concerns about members you suspect. The only non-mischievous reason i could think of for having two accounts is if a member was a zoo staff member and had a second anonymous account so he doesn't get in trouble with his employers (although I guess that could be also considered to be wrong). Just for the record, I only have one account
@Animal: Might I suggest that you send a PM to Sim? I know to which user you are refering and suspect the same thing myself. I am not sure what Sim's policy is on this but I am sure that he can easily find out of two users are the same person.
I agree if someone requires a second account then something is wrong. On the zoo staff point if they were to p/m a moderatorand let them know they worked at a zoo (but not name the zoo) then surely they could arrange a different account for them 2 accounts 2 cause trouble
Well I`ve only got the one account as I think 1 of me is enough for anyone to put up with.But seriously there a couple of people I suspect of having more than one profile on here,one of them no longer uses there first profile bur set the second up after a little rant about a certain major zoo of covering up a animal escape which didn`t happen.

Emphatically not (when Marwell Dalek became Zambar he changed his user name (via Sim), so all his old posts now have the new name on them. He did not register again with a new ID). I know who zoogiraffe is alluding to (but I'm not going to name names - I think he's given enough hints to tip off the original ID).
guessing games help no-one I feel. However changing a user-name is not the same as creating a second account for a different persona
I'm happy to rename accounts if someone wants to change their name. I don't generally allow people to create multiple accounts ... although if they stop using one account and register a new account under a new name and don't want their old posts moved across to the new account (I can do that easily) ... then so be it. I don't like people posting from multiple accounts at the same time. If you suspect someone is doing so - please let me know (privately) and I will investigate.
