Oh no. :( Do you know if you're job there is secure Lotte?

I can imagine it would be a problem; it's an isolated location for such a big zoo, and one of the volunteers who runs our oryx club meetings at Marwell told me about his visit to their version of a junior club, and how they get the older members involved in animal care due to the small number of staff. If it keeps going downhill, I would certainly be ready to raise donations to the trust. We just can't lose the masterpiece of the late and great Gerald Durrell.

All departments will be considered during the process.
I don't think I am likely to be at risk but the fact is, who knows at times like these, it was made clear that animal welfare will not be compromised and it is understood that exports take time...

    The time is definitively now.

We need to be plucked from the cold waters, like London and Chester in the past...

    Hi Lotte,

I posted the same link yesterday evening in the Durrell Thread. Sorry for take the premier, but I was very worry with the situation.

Its very sad that this "winds" are over the Durrell grounds!

Durrell for 50 years made a bigg contribution for salving highly endangered species of the world. Build a "Rolls Royce" of the Zoo world, like some webpages tell about Durrell Zoo.

For us Brazilians, Durrell almost saved two species from extinction if some thing gos wrong in nature: Leontophitecus chrysopygus and Saguinus bicolor.

And " It´s Time" to help Durrell !!!

There are many ways to help if you cant do any donation!

They have a nice online shop at theier website with several things like DVD,s, the famous Durrell books, etc.

You also can be a member of the Trust for just 25 pounds!

I hoppe every thing goes well and soon this bad times will be over!

    Cheers,

    Eduardo.

Then I'm gonna get saving. I would recommend this to every other ZooChatter within the capability of doing so, Durrell needs all it can get.
