    2011 the first 10 captive-bred Eastern sarus cranes were re-introduced in Thailand and in the meantime the counted stands at 115 :) :

    Thai cranes make comeback

    The zoo at Nakhon Ratchasima operates a captive-breeding center for eastern saris cranes. From this program the ZPOT has released these birds into Buri Ram Forest.
