European zoochatters in particular may find these interesting given that they explain the directions being taken by European zoos and aquariums in terms of ex-situ and in-situ conservation, education, husbandry, research being conducted etc.
Ex situ / in-situ conservation EAZA Annual conference 2020- Plenary- Conservation-"Saving European biodiversity together". Includes talks by several European zoos regarding ex-situ and in-situ programes for endangered species. EAZA Annual conference 2019- Plenary-Ex-situ conservation Includes talks from: Basel zoo about indian rhino, Chester zoo on black rhino, Naturzoo Rhine on ring tailed lemur and gelada, Jersey zoo on turtles and tortoises, Vogelpark Marlow on South-East Asian songbirds.
Campaigns EAZA Annual conference 2019 -plenary- conservation campaigns Topics include: EAZA "silent forest campaign", "which fish?" , "Sustainable collection planning for aquatic species" amongst others.
Education EAZA Education conference-conference 2020 - "Conservation education plenary : engage or go extinct". Includes talks given by educators and conservationists at: Copenhagen zoo, Chester zoo, Vogelpark Marlow, Royal Burgur's zoo, Denver zoo and Ian Singleton of the Sumatran orangutang project amongst others. EAZA Education conference-conference 2019-"Whole zoo education" Includes talks given from educators from : Lisbon zoo, Amiens zoo, Chester zoo, Leningrad zoo, Wrocklaw zoo and London zoo amongst others.
