They have been moved further up the hill

 

Notice a couple of other changes: Rheas moved to the top of the hill (The babies were in the old capybara/Rhea enclosure when we were there; Hog Deer in the old Wolf paddock above the Tigers

 

ah cannie stay silent anymore - after months of silence. remember when ah told you that the zoo couldnae do so many things for budget reasons and lack of money? somehow the zoo has found the money to buy in 14 animatronic dinosaurs for the top of the hill - to help highlight the threat that current animals face in the wild. so we couldnae redevelop the big cat walkway, get a macaque walkthrough and so many other things due to a lack of money, but somehow we can afford to get model animals that died without any human interaction at all.

Not sure what to make of that - did Chester see an upsurge in visitors based on their dinosaur exhibit?

 

Wallabies, hog deer, vicuna, rhea. This is a fairly good indication of the quality of Edinburgh Zoo these days.

Have they actually been purchased by the zoo or just hired in for a year as was the case at Chester and Twycross?
