The rainbow lorikeets are probably going in Brilliants Birds

    1) implication is given that chimpanzees are our ancestor, when really we just share a common ancestor

    2) The report suggests that chimpanzees in general are vegetarian, whilst they are omnivorous. the zoos chimps are however vegetarian by choice.

it is a confusing report and a few of my contacts within the zoo have also expressed concern with the way that it was presented, especially as what was given will stick in peoples minds and they may not necessarily look it up

I can't watch the video but are those two examples you give really the extent of the "many inaccuracies"? I found the following article which is presumably the text version on which the video is based, and there is no implication (in the written article) that chimps are the ancestor of humans.
BBC News - Chimps 'learn local grunts' to talk to new neighbours

And does the zoo have meerkat in the former enclosure next to the pygmy hippos?

Anyone have anything to report from last night's review?

Last time we were there the Meerkats were back in their old enclosure whilst they built the new indoor enclosure. Not sure if they have moved back.

In fairness, though, the chosen species is relatively imaginative - not the usual red-neckeds
