Elephants in China

    Interesting, I hadn't really considered that elephants might be native to China for some reason.

    Odd that they state there is no captive elephant population, when clearly there is. There are photos of elephants in 7 Chinese zoos on the first page of the China gallery alone (when searching for "elephant").

    I hadn't even noticed they said there were no captive elephants in China. That's weird.

    In the Wildlife gallery for China there is a photo or two of wild elephants by baboon (who studies them).

    I'm pretty sure there must be much more recent data on elephants in China than the 2006 one they quote as being "the very best available".
