I have just finished David Taylors book "The Animals Came Out Two by Two" about the final days of Windsor Safari Park.

In it he writes that the seven WSP African Elephants were successfully moved to Knowsley.

Just out of interest could a Knowsley expert tell me how many remain there and what is their current total stock? I was told four.

    Knowsley hold 0:4 African Elephants.

    They are called Ashanti (b. 2003 at Knowsley), Juba (Wild-born), Nala (b. 2003 at Knowsley) & Tana/Tots (Wild-born)

    Hope this helps :)

    The original 7 were:

    Juba - still at Knowsley
Tana (Tots) - still at Knowsley
Masai - died at Knowsley in 1994
Buta - died at Noahs Ark in 2015
Kora - died at Knowsley in 2005
Shaba - died at Knowsley in 2015
Kruger (male) - died at Port Lympne in 2015

The other two currently at Knowsley are Nala and Ashanti. Both bred at Knowsley
