What are some endemic species that are kept in American or European zoos? The animal has to come from either a specific country ( China, Madagascar, Etc) or a specific region like the Abyssinian region in Ethiopia and Eritrea.

what sort of information are you hoping to gather from the question? I mean, everything is endemic to somewhere, to some degree.

I was thinking animals that come from isolated areas like the Galapagos islands or the Ethiopian highlands.

All of those countries have a huge number of endemics, and in the case of the first two, I expect the number of those kept in European & North American zoos to be in the hundreds. Fewer endemics from Ethiopia are in western zoos, all that immediately springs to mind is the gelada, blue-winged goose, and Ethiopian Mountain viper.

Galapagos Tortoise are quite common. Australia has a TON of endemic species a lot of which are in zoos kangaroos, koala, and Dingos. China giant pandas and red pandas come to mind. And northern white rhinos are kinda endemic to Kenya.

A few more Chinese endemics present in European & American zoos:
    Blue-crowned laughingthrush
    Mangshan Pitviper
    Cabot's Tragopan
    Pere David's Deer
    Chinese Alligator
    White Cloud Mountain Minnow
    Neon Tree Dragon
    and many, many many more.
This is just a small selection, a few from each class. The scope of your question is too large to prevent it from being answered accurately, particularly with more speciose groups like reptiles, fish and invertebrates.

I'll make it even more specific by asking only for mammals and birds.
