    Just stumbled accros this article in the paper, Jumbo sized runaway - Local News - News - General - Mudgee Guardian

    I didnt think there were any elephants travelling in circusses in australia anymore?
    has any one every heard of this circus, a google result doesnt show anything.
    any one got any more info or is it a joke from the paper with april fools tomorrow and all?

    rearrange the letters in Lipra (the name of the circus). 'tis an April Fool's joke.

    However, didn't we have a budding young circus owner from out Mudgee way some time ago? Maybe his dream has come true ;)

    Conevenient photo isn't it. . . maybe a few zoochat members should call the mudgee guardian. . . The Perry bros girls travel occasionally but aren't a part of the show. Very interesting family. I think Australia's circus families should really right a few books. Some of the stories Loraain Maynard has to tell are amazing and I'd love to hear more about real circus families.

    I just read that article when I woke up, I was a bit puzzled when they said they elephant escaped from Lipra’s Circus. Isn't the only cricus in asutralia that keeps elephant now Perry bros.?

    At the arts centre in Melbourne last year. We had a fantastic exhibition on the Australia's circus. Many stories pictures and props. It was really well done.

    I would not be suprised if the collection is travelling.

    Saigon and Minyak still travel with Perry Bros Circus but no longer perform in the show.
