In the AZA, there's a wide array of zoo programs and opportunities for teens interested in wildlife and conservation. It's a very common trend in the AZA and even non-accredited zoos in America. These teen programs can involve educating guests, helping zookeepers, or college/career preparatory workshops. While looking through some EAZA zoos, I noticed there aren't nearly as many opportunities for teens in EAZA zoos as there are in AZA zoos. Is this observation actually true? Do you know of any European Zoos in particular with notable programs to help teens interested in conservation? Are there similar programs in Europe outside of zoos?
