Have you ever come across an exhibit that had more to them than just visuals and animals making noise? I remember hearing that Korkeasaari (Helsinki zoo) at least used to have a device that allowed visitors to smell skunk odor. Also interested in any exhibits that are more impressive audiowise than visually.

I know my local, Colchester Zoo, has few holes in the Aardvarks sleeping quarters that allows you to smell them. Not that the holes or notice boards are needed, smelly critters!

The wolf exhibit at the Brookfield Zoo has a room that you can enter that gets as dark as a starless night. You are then surrounded by the howls of wolves as if they are circling you. It is quite eerie and effective.
