Hi guys :D hope we're all doing well.

I have a suggestion for a game of sorts; pretending money and space/export rules etc is no object (it's a game after all) let's all suggest various lists of species that would be kept in an RSCC environment of sorts. Only rule; they must be currently kept/recently kept/soon to be kept in captivity (that last one must be confirmed, not just rumour or assumption based on their wild status) and must be rare in zoos/endangered in the wild (so even though the platypus and tentacled snake are listed as least concern, one could still put them forward as they are rare in zoos).

I will start with a preliminary (short) list:

    Aye aye
    Tentacled snake
    Platypus
    Goodfellow's tree kangaroo
    Matschie's tree kangaroo
    Shoebill
    Storm's stork
    Proboscis monkey
    Red-shanked douc
    Bonobo
    Giant panda
    Montserrat tarantula
    Short-tailed spotted cuscus
    Tasmanian devil
    Lord Howe's stick insect
    Northern brown kiwi

Have fun! Let's make the most awesome zoo we can :)

PS; if the animal has already been listed it cannot be listed again, obviously

Just so you know, pachyderm is an obsolete order. And even if it was still in use, tapirs aren't classified as a pachyderm. :)

    Here’s Mine!

    The Great Bird Hall
The Aviary Of Birds is home to bird species from around the world, that are endangered, critically endangered, or even extinct in the wild. First, you’ll see the Guam Kingfisher (Todiramphus Cinnamominus), a subspecies of Micronesian kingfisher that is declared extinct in the wild. Next is the Hyacinth Macaw (Anodorhynchus Hyacinthinus). These birds are declared vulnerable, but still face threat of extinction. Next is an aviary for two species of eagles that live on islands. There’s the Madagascan Fish Eagle (Haliaeetus Vociferoides), as well as the Philippine Eagle (Pithecophaga Jefferyi). We close off our journey with the Cuban Kite (Chondrohierax Wilsonii).

    Rhino Reserve

The Rhino Reserve is home to endangered species of African wildlife. We will first see the Ethiopian Wolf (Canis Simensis), an endangered canid native to Ethiopia. Next is the star of the show, the critically endangered Black Rhinoceros (Diceros Bicornis). Here you can also find a small outdoor habitat for the Black And White Ruffed Lemur (Varecia Variegata). Finally, we close with an antelope yard home to Grevy’s Zebra (Equus Grevyi) and Somali Wild Ass (Equus Africanus Somaliensis).

    The Castaways Of The Shores

Home to ocean species, we begin with the Galápagos Penguin (Spheniscus Mendiculus), in a rocky outcrop habitat resembling the islands of the Galapagos. We then see a small exhibit for the Spoon-Billed Sandpiper (Calidris Pygmaea). Next, we have the Mediterranean Monk Seal (Monachus Monachus). We close our journey with the Tasmanian Devil (Sarcophilus Harrisii).
