What are your favourite enclosure barrier types?
    Including:
    - Glass
    - Rock boulders
    - Fencing
    etc.

I personally like moats, invisinet fencing and natural/natural looking barriers because you feel closer to the animals. Although you may prefer a certain type of barrier for easier photography, safety or other reasons.

Invisinet for aviaries, brick and stone walls for large herbivores, glass for carnivores, mesh for climbing animals and for animal houses glass on the interior and ornamental iron on the exterior (no point making the outside of imposing architecture immersive).

And what about smaller herbivores and elephants?

I like anything that doesn't look like a jail cell.

Elephants are large herbivores requiring a "pachyderm house". The nature of elephants being to uproot grass turf as they feed, they are actually hard to house attractively and naturally. So ornamental architecture it is.
