Yeah, this poll unfortunately wasn't as popular or successful as I would have hoped it would be but nevermind. I voted Humboldt because actually without him there would have been no Alfred Russell Wallace or Charles Darwin. He was the giant upon whose shoulders those later naturalists stood and though I admire them too (Wallace more than Darwin actually) I just have a greater admiration for Humboldt.
