Flamingo Park Zoo

    Hi there i'm Karl and i am interested in everything Flamingo park zoo (now flamingo land resort). I run a nostalgia group on facebook covering the history of the park since it opened in 1961 by Pentland Hick up to the present day. Also anything under Associated Pleasure Parks (APP) which the company became known as and included Flamingo park,Cleethorpes zoo and Stanley zoo (co. durham). Until the business was sold to Scotia leisure in 1970 ran by Don Robinson. If anyone has any photos or info on these parks please share . Regards Karl Reveley.

    I remember Ian and Marjorie Gibb when they were at Ravensden (1980s) telling me they had been involved with Stanley Zoo - maybe as managers, or similar level?

    Hi, sorry that I’m replying so late but do u know whatever happened to the chimpanzees? I can’t find any info anywhere about them
