Not yet. The zoo shared this update on the tapir calf via Facebook on November 6:

Major milestone for our little female – she successfully reunited with mom, Abby, this week! The calf was seen nursing within hours – even gaining weight since the intro – and Abby has been acting like the wonderful seasoned mom that she is. The pair will remain behind-the-scenes to continue bonding before making an exhibit debut.

I was at the zoo today and noticed some construction in what used to be the siberian Crane Habitat. Does anyone know what is happening to that area?

The Pygmy hippopotamus calf has been named Ptolemy, after the youngest son of Cleopatra.

There is now a similar auction to name the baby gorilla: Franklin Park Zoo's baby pygmy hippo gets new name! Here's how you can name the baby gorilla
