I was wondering if anyone had a complete listing of where all the gemsbok (Oryx gazella) are kept in the UK?

I know Chester have them, Whipsnade and Woburn Safari Park but does anyone have a complete list of every institution in the UK to care for them?:)

Marwell has had a group of about 8 females for a while. They have recently received a male from Dvur Kralove (sp?).

Cheers, Aye I could look on ISIS, but where's the fun in that? Its much nicer to ask folks on here and attempt to start some conservations on the good old hoof stock :) (as a newbie on this forum I feel the need to try... *shrugs*, you can never have too many threads on ungulates...not possible, :))

Ok ungulata, what ungulate species would you like to see on show in Britain, that are not here already?
For me Giant eland, gerenuk, yellow backed duiker, white tailed gnu, impala and musk oxen (although fingers crossed they are on there way)
    over to you now!
