Japan is probably now close on being second in breeding giant pandas outside their home range country (close on US ..).
They have produced another cub, really quickly after the last one, by natural mating again. With a birth in July and then presumably mating very soon after that cub died evidently females don't always have oestrus just once a year as is usually stated.
