I see. I don't know what it was about the photo but it made me think of Doi Chiang Dao.

    I'll keep thinking....

well I have no idea. I keep coming back to the photo between doing other things, hoping it will suddenly strike me, but I can't even really figure out what position the bird is in! It looks sort of like it is facing the camera, both wings spread (the one to the right mostly hidden by the nest), and maybe there's a face just visible at the bottom? Or maybe I'm way off!

Anyway, the closest I can get to an answer is red-faced liocichla. The colour sort of matches, the red tips can be slotted into it as well. So that's what I'll stick with for now.

Very close but not quite there your eyes might be way better than mine but the main feature is the tail and it is sitting on a nest. I'll give you double points of you can sex it.

woo-hoo. Here are two mammals, two birds, and one pile of faeces. The ultimate winner will be the one who has all five species listed in one post. Answers must be specific.

(I actually can't remember if I used the first one already in this thread, so it may turn out to be an even easier solve than it would be anyway!)

    Start guessing!
