Ok, so more good guesses but no correct zoo yet, although with the dwindling options you guys are getting closer. I did stumble upon a photo in the gallery that gave me the idea for this clue, but again, that is also not searchable.

"dwindling options"? You know there are probably dozens of zoos in China with giant pandas right? :p

Anyway, my next guess is Taipei Zoo.

Edit: cross-posted with Chlidonias, so I'll go for Ueno instead.

Not Ueno or Taipei, and its not in China, so there are less than ten options now :D

Yes! At least, yes it is Zoo Atlanta! But its not because of Atlanta Panta... As evidenced by the zoo's map:

So kudos to @Brum for getting the rhyming name!

Is it bad that while I was reading this I immediately thought of terrible Jake Paul song that came out a few months ago?

    "Mexico is my city..."

I only know of that song through Music Video Sins.

My next guesses were going to be Chiang Mai Zoo and then Zoo Negara (I know you've been to the latter, but they didn't have the pandas then I think).

Panda Veranda is so lame. They totally should have hired me as their marketing person and used Atlanta Panta. Followed by "We'll amaze ya with Asia".

I'm magnanomusly... magnanimusly ... magnamisly .. generously giving my turn to @Brum because my Zoo Atlanta was a blind guess and he actually had to think of his rhyming answer. And thinking is always difficult.

But I don't think its at the Zoo - it looks like its at the airport! The gift shop at Panda Veranda is imaginatively called Pandamonium.

yes, at the airport. But if I'd googled Panda Veranda after Brum had said it, I would have known your answer was Zoo Atlanta because that shop is for selling their merchandise. So Brum actually did get the answer, he just didn't know it because he was using some weird Birmingham version of Google. Or maybe he was using Bing because Birmingham.

Pandamonium is okay as a name for their on-site giftshop. When I was a small child I had a toy panda named Pandamonium, so presumably the zoo outsourced their marketing to a pre-schooler. Which would also explain Panda Veranda. I would have called the zoo giftshop Made In China, which connects both to pandas and to the kind of merchandise that zoo giftshops generally sell.

Off-topic, my other panda toy was named Chi Chi.

    Here goes, hope it's a good one though;

This collection was home to the world's first public aquarium, opened in the 19th century.

The world's first public aquarium was the "Fish House" at London Zoo which opened in 1853.

I didn't think it was, the one I'm thinking of isn't part of a zoo per se.

Okay, I cocked up so I will let Chlidonias take the baton and run with it...

My confusion arose from failing to realise the Liverpool World Museum was actually the longest running continuous aquarium. (Even though it's in a different part of the building it's still at the same address.)

    My bad guys.
