That's what my thinking was, based on the phrasing of his question.

    Ding Ding Ding! Correct!
I suppose that's a fair claim, It's not like there's many other aquariums with jaguars, three-toed sloths and agouti. Since it is branded as an aquarium though, I consider it to be one.

My go then? The only collection outside of its native range to hold Rueppel's fox...

This zoo held Bornean Orangutans up until 2007 before sending the last pair to a realm of red apes and a jungle temple.

This has to be Antwerpen, with Tuan going to Chester and Astrid going to Osnabrück, I think

In the 80s this zoo had an animal that escaped four times out of his enclosure and was found at a children's playground, opposite of a psychiatric clinic in a chickenhouse, on a park bench and in a horse paddock; each time sleeping :D

The animal in question can only be a Red panda :p. The ones in Rotterdam had an appetite for walking away all the time, so that would be my first guess.

The animal in question is a LOT bigger and darker than a Red Panda and it did not live in the Netherlands.

Don't know the animal you are looking for but because we are looking for the zoo and not the animal I will do a guess and because you are living in Cologne I will go for the Cologne Zoo :).

it is not Cologne but is swirls around the animal I am most interested in. The smallest of the bear species. And I can wholeheartedly rule out Germany as the country the zoo is in.

Sabine, I don’t know the story but I knew for sure from the beginning it would be a sun bear :D we are such a pair! My guess would be either a zoo in Czech Republic, France, Switzerland or Austria.
